Resume

Life

Lauren Saint Cavanaugh

Born in Tacoma, raised in Eatonville, I am a true Mossback. I live in Seattle with my husband and our three kids. We love this city and hope to continue to raise our family here. Our home is a tiny green bungalow located in the Central District. It is a special place where we do most of our favorite things like spending time with friends, hosting game nights, growing vegetables, rooting for the Seahawks, and raising kids.

School

University of Washington

2000 - 2005

Graduated with a BA in Industrial Design

An architecture degree was my original career pursuit, but while working at a cafe on campus, a good friend and colleague of mine told me about her program, Industrial Design. It was about the time I was applying for the Architecture program, so I made two portfolios and applied for both. I choose Industrial Design and am so glad I did. Through the program, I not only learned the skills of my trade but made lifelong friends and had the opportunity to travel. I spent a summer in Japan at a ceramics co-op where I worked in a cafe' and help build floats for the Tachi Neputa festival. I also went to Lyon, France to show work at an Industrial Design fair with my classmates. Lastly, I spent my final semester in Rome, Italy, also with my classmates, where we studied Art History and Design.
