Student Work

The pandemic changed all of us in some shape or form. For me, it has shifted what I want to do for my career for the rest of my life. My husband and I completely remodeled our kitchen during the winter of 2020-2021. We did all of the design work and construction ourselves and I found that I really loved the work (not so much living in a construction zone!)  After an apprenticeship at a local interior design firm in the Fall of 2021, I started a certificate program at Heritage School of Interior Design and am currently working through the Master's program.

Sketches

For our midterm project, we were tasked with converting a studio space at Heritage into a condo for a fictitious client. My clients were a retired couple who planned to snowbird in Todos Santos, Mexico. When they were not using the space they planned to use it as a rental property for extra income.

My final project is a design for a two-bedroom, two-bath home for one of my classmates, Shiloh, and her dog Bear. She wanted a home with old-world charm, that was lived-in cozy, and mindfully dog friendly for an aging dog.
